What about Graves????

I don't think we ever had Graves higher than 10th this year.  Once they lost to Mayfield, that obviously knocked them out of our poll.  They didn't play last week, which certainly makes it tough to move up.  They are receiving votes this week, so another win or two could get them back in the Top 10.

I say make 6A just Louisville and Lexington schools and let them beat up on each other...........

Anyone familiar with the district tiebreaker rules? Say Hop. Co. Cent. beats Lone Oak and Calloway beats Hop. there would be a 3-way tie for first. Is it strength of schedule or number of overall wins?

Kyle, I heard the tiebreaker is the combined records of the teams you defeated. I'm not sure if it is all of the teams you beat or just a certain number. Maybe someone else knows exactly.

I don't care who Boyle County has played, 0-5 is 0-5 and they shouldn't be ranked in the Top 10. Good for you guys that you didn't include them in your ballot.

Steve...we dropped them out once they went to 0-3.  At the time somebody was giving us grief about ranking Lone Oak ahead of Boyle.  The argument was Boyle traditionally had a good team and they couldn't possibly be worse than Lone Oak.  I can buy that argument for a game or two when they're playing some big schools and their annual rivalry game with Danville.  But after a while, tradition means only so much.  As you said, 0-5 is 0-5.  Win a game, then we can talk.

In the same breath, Tilghman is 2-4 and teetering on the edge of our Top 10.  No team really seems to want to jump up and replace them, but if they don't start winning some of these close games they keep losing, we'll have no choice but to drop them out.

Dear Anyonumous...do you have anything to back up Coach Chatellier not coming back next year?  Or is it just your hope?

Can i just, mayby get an opinion? Somebody just look at this Metcalfe county team.and what coach Larry Harbison has done for them over the past 8 or maybe 9  seasons.I't as though they rose from the ashes of defeat and created a football   powerhouse in Southern Kentucky..."just a thought'...the fan base has grown more than i could have ever deemed possible from such a small school, keep up the good work coach Harbison......6 and 0 again baby.

I'm surprised that Mayfield-Fulton County is leading for Game of the Week. Does anyone really believe that will be a competitive game?

Lone Oak-Hopkins Central has all the makings of a classic in the mold of Lone Oak-Calloway. That gets my vote.

Steve, apparently the ballot-box stuffers in Fulton County and Mayfield are a little more dedicated than the ones in Lone Oak so far.  We tend to have a big swing on Thursday mornings when one school just takes it upon themselves to get their team voted as the game of the week.  We'll see if Lone Oak goes crazy tomorrow.

One thing I've noticed this year is Lone Oak doesn't get a ton of votes for game of the week.  The only time I can remember they got it is when they played Calloway, and that's because I know the Laker Nation made sure they got the top spot.

It's good to see Laker Nation supporting football more again. We had some rough years and people still came out, but now there's more desire in the fans and the program.
