Week 11 Fallout...

Congratulations to Lone Oak's Corey Robinson with his new record of 67 touchdown passes for the season.  I know there has been a lot of debate as to the schedule Lone Oak has faced, but this number really is amazing.  He's completing about 75% of his passes, which would be impressive if he did that in practice against no defense.  The road will certainly get tougher for the Flash after next week's walk against Muhlenberg North.  But for now, all of the Flash deserve to smell the roses for a few minutes after the school's first ever 10-0 season and Robinson's record.  Corey is the first to publicly admit he couldn't have thrown those 67 TD's without the big guys up front blocking and all of those guys catching for him.   Congratulations again to Lone Oak.

I'll ramble on more later...but for now, the floor is yours.

Congratulations to Lone Oak and your quarterback, Mr. Robinson. You guys really have a great team and look forward to hearing more out of you guys in the playoffs.

How about our GRAVES COUNTY EAGLES?! Stompin' all over the Lakers! This team's playing there best just at the right time! Watch out Marshals, here we come!

toot toot, let the play-offs begin - tip of the hat to 'all' of the area high schools for presenting / sharing with us once again their canvas versions of grainy pigskin entertainment - very colorful it was alright with all shades & tints included in their various paintings representing the '07 regular season...

regretfully i do have 'one' serious complaint though - such pertains to 'one' area high school and calling 'you' out i am - oh yes it's 'you' calloway - twice this year i've had to choke down crow platters and 'both' times you've caused the servings - went  against ya once this season, went with ya once this season - the end result the same, crow !!! your m'field win was tough enough for me to swallow that evening, and now i'm sitting here with a cup of coffee and looking up @ me is a platter of eggs & crow for breakfast due to your last nights loss to graves - what's with you guys...

hey i'm really looking very forward to the post season play as all of you certainly are also - best of luck to all our participating area schools & athletes - many of us understand and appreciate 'all' the hard work / dedication each & every individual has to put forth 'before' putting on the game-time uniform and heading out to the chalked / painted fields beneath the bright lighting - same goes for and holds true for all 'our' area band members also...

considering afterwards when the bright lights are turned off - all the sweat, bruises, & blisters are classified under the simple title of 'game performances' - many many thanks and congratulations to 'all' of our young adults for their personally paid off debts of the very expensive prep tolls one must endure in order to participate - their purchases will how-ever, last a life-time...

Lone Oak not only broke a record but Graves did too. Though I would mention that since no one has so far!

hey kyle that's a good point you made there - but you know what, on second thought i 'might' just be forced to pick them @ least 'once' more - i'll not expand on that comment because i know you're with me...

IF the lakers would have one, Kyle, you would be bragging your head off. You know good and well. However, they did not, so now you can just hang your head and cry!! LOL

Keep the smack coming boys because I do not care. Why should I? Both teams are in the playoffs and this game meant nothing in the grand scheme of things, except to stop the Eagles' bleeding.
If you know anything about football and were at the game you'd know it wasn't a blowout. The Lakers came back and made it a game but could never get over the hump.
Congratulations, your a 6A school and Calloway is 4A. Plus you probably have about twice as many kids dressing out.
If you've followed this blog and seen my posts, I've never 'bragged' as Fulton City and Graves fans have after a victory. All I've done is try to get the Lakers the credit they deserve, so no, I wouldn't be on here "bragging my head off". Infact I have yet to shed a tear over this game, I'll notify you if it ever happens.

Good luck to the Eagles and everybody in the playoffs.
