While some women will flock to the American Quilter’s Society’s Quilt Show and Contest later this month, others will spend their time at the Merryman House, a local domestic violence shelter, seeking protection and comfort. In order to recognize and support these women, Baby Lock will be hosting a FREE event called Building Quilts for Love at the AQS Quilt Show in Paducah to create quilts that will be donated to Merryman House.

From April 23 - 26, visitors of all skill levels can visit the Building Quilts for Love booth (#1120) during show hours to create a personalized block to contribute to the quilts. Local sewing machine dealer and sponsor Calico Country Crafts will have Baby Lock machines and supplies on hand to help guests sew quilt blocks in a fun, relaxed atmosphere. Whether participants stay for a few minutes or a few hours, each unique block will be a welcome contribution, sewn together into beautiful quilts for Merryman House. Everyone, no matter what his or her skill level, is encouraged to come out and participate.
