The Women of Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Inc., Gamma Kappa Omega Chapter of Carbondale, extend an invitation to the Voter Education Forum, Saturday April 26th at the Newman Catholic Center in Carbondale, from 11:00 am to 2:00 pm.
· This is an historical election year and it is very important for Voters to be informed on the issues that affect our lives and cause us to take action!
· Voter registrars will be available, so those needing to register should bring two forms of identification.
· The event will feature speakers discussing the voting process, voting behaviors and presidential primaries, caucuses and conventions.
· The event is being co-sponsored by the League of Women Voters of Jackson Co.
· The program is for ages 17 and up!!
*Donations have been provided by the African American Museum of Carbondale, and the Southern Illinois Dental Hygienists’ Society.
**A FREE lunch will be provided on behalf of the Paul Simon Public Policy Institute. (lunch served from 11-12—program begins at 12)
